A Beautifully Unspoiled & Honest Grand Touring Maserati
- A luxurious Grand Tourer, the 3500GT drew heavily on Maserati's competition experience, employing a tubular chassis frame and an engine derived from the 350S competition sports car unit of 1956.
- Designed by none other than Giulio Alfieri, creator of the immortal Tipo 60/61 'Birdcage', and the man responsible for developing the 250F into a World Championship winner. Passengers are presented with utmost luxury and performance for the ideal cross-country traveler.
- Is a desirable early example with front disc brakes and carbureted powerplant. The Gran Tourismo 3500 GT Coupé was ordered from Officine Alfieri Maserati on June 2, 1959 and delivered new on July 21, 1959 as a direct sale to customer Dr. Arnaldo Cadini of Prato, Italy. Elegantly finished in Bianco Neve (white) over Blue Connoly leather with Borrani Disc wheels, spare disc wheel and tool kit.
- The 3500 later made its way to Seattle, Washington, in the thoughtful care of Mr. Quinnell for 30 years. Presented in its original unrestored form, is a truly exceptional preservation of one of Maserati's most celebrated GTs ever produced.
- Maserati S.p.A. of Modena confirms with original Certificate of Origin that all chassis, engine and body numbers are matching as it left the factory.
- Additionally, all Maserati Classiche parchment records accompany this car, including: Internal factory Order, Historical Information Sheet, Technical Data Sheet, Technical & Aesthetic Characteristics, End of Line Data Sheet and Delivery Note.
- A sight to behold for the Maserati aficionado and preservation purist, 524 retains all original trim, lenses, glass, plaques, emblems, upholstery – both, cabin and luggage compartment, floor pans, undercoating, sheet metal, equipment and believed to retain most of its original factory applied paint.
- Sitting behind the wheel is like stepping back into time and a joy to experience what Dr. Arnaldo Cadini had the privilege to see and feel in such unspoiled condition.
- Thanks to the considerate 30 years of stewardship from Mr. Quinnell and previous caretakers, this 3500 was kept pure, unrestored and today would make a formative candidate for competitive preservation display at significant concours events across the globe.
- After years of recent garage slumber, the 3500 predictably starts right up with ease, however, its braking system has begun to drag and will require attention during a necessary servicing and inspection prior to public road use.
- Complete with matching spare tire assembly and jack.
