The Mazda RX-7 FD is one of the most iconic Japanese sports cars of the 1990s, renowned for its low weight, balanced chassis and distinctive rotary engine. This example from 1992 constitutes an honest and transparent basis, accompanied by a detailed expert report from Oldtimerfarm.
The paint shows signs of normal use. The underside shows superficial corrosion, with the points of attention being a leak at the turbo and a non-original rear part of the exhaust.
The interior and carpets are in normal used condition. The pumps in the trunk are worn. The engine compartment is in fair but dirty condition.
Mechanically, maintenance is required. The belts need to be replaced and wear on the engine mounts has been noted. General maintenance and fluids require attention. The battery will need to be replaced in the short term. The clutch and gearbox show signs of wear; the box can sometimes creak in third gear. The brakes and handbrake work properly.
