Seller's comments about 1961' Mercedes-Benz 190 Sl
- Completely restored - Rare color combination - Convertible top in dark blue - German registration and H-license plate (for historical cars) Vehicle history: The 190 SL is currently one of the most sought-after automotive classics on the classic car market with a strong increase in price (almost a doubling of market prices in the last ten years). Perfectly restored examples cost up to 200, 000 euros. With a 190 SL export rate of almost 80%, only just over 5, 000 vehicles were delivered in Germany. This Mercedes-Benz 190 SL was manufactured in Stuttgart in October 1959. The delivery was made to Daimler Benz of North America, Rockefeller Center in New York. From there the vehicle was delivered to the first owner in Wilkes-Bare, USA and registered for the first time. The first owner drove it until 1979, and another owner in the U. S. owned the SL from 1979 to 1988. After a lengthy retirement, the car was exported to Belgium, where it received a full restoration in 2014 by a renowned restorer. Subsequently, the SL was registered in Belgium from 2015 to 2021 by its former owner, from whom the current owner purchased the vehicle. In Germany, a TÜV (MOT) acceptance with H-license plate (for historical cars) took place, as well as the preparation of an appraisal. The 190 SL is technically and visually in excellent condition and can be used immediately.
