This 1961 Mercedes-Benz 220 S is commonly referred to as a 'Heckflosse', which refers to the 'tail fins' at the rear. The car is finished in a beautiful, period-typical light gray paint and has a chic, matching, two-tone gray interior. Both the bodywork and the interior are in very good condition. This Heckflosse has the larger 2195 cc six-cylinder under the hood, which is still equipped with carburettors and is linked to a four-speed manual gearbox with steering gear. The engine was overhauled by an engine specialist in 2019; the invoice for the overhaul is included with the car. The 220 S is an original Dutch Heckflosse that still wears the 1961 registration.
