A very nice, original W123 230 Auto with just 44k miles from new. Finished in Mango Green with tan cloth interior. This UK-supplied car, first registered in July 1980, it remained in the same family ownership until 2019, but was dry-stored since 1994. In 2019, it was purchased by an enthusiastic member of the Mercedes Club who set about the process of fully recommissioning the car. This included replacing all the fuel and ignition systems, brakes, fluids and filters and fitting new Continental tyres. There is a full description of all work carried out with the car, plus receipts. The body, usually the major weak point on 123s, is incredibly good, original and doesn’t have any corrosion, undoubtedly due to being garaged for most of its life and sparingly used. Having been rescued in 2009 it was treated to a full external repaint, so the car presents very well indeed. The interior is in excellent condition and original. There are no dash cracks or wear to the upholstery. A period looking DAB radio has been fitted. The car starts, runs, and drives very well indeed. It feels tight and together. As with any old car there are a couple of items that could do with attention, notably the speedometer and the central locking. The engine bay would also benefit from some detailing to bring it up to the standard of the rest of the car. Registered as a historic vehicle so ULEZ, tax and MoT exempt. It is rare to see an early 123 these days and this is a very nice example with very low mileage and tremendous potential.
