1968 Mercedes-Benz 250SL Pagoda LHD Manual
With one UK owner and 95k miles, it is presented in the gorgeous combination of Dark Olive Green over Cognac interior. Was the subject of a thorough restoration and supplied with an illustrious history from Germany, USA and more recently the UK.
This fine example was originally registered in Germany in 1968 where it spent three years before being exported to USA in 1971. It remained there for the next 49 years and in 2015 it underwent an incredible restoration. It was treated to a full bare metal, nut and bolt restoration with bills and receipts totalling over $40, 000 which will be supplied with the car.
The engine was removed and totally rebuilt, and while the engine was taken out, the engine bay was freshly resprayed. Along with this, entire body and underside taken to bare metal and professionally repainted. A Petronix electronic ignition fitted in addition to new shock absorbers, front suspension and steering components, brake bolster, stainless exhaust and all rubber seals were replaced.
You must see this car to admire and appreciate the work that has put been into it. As for the interior, it was given new Mercedes-Benz Tex seats, refurbished white steering wheel, new wooden dash with a satin finish, new carpets, new boot carpet and felt, and a Becker original stereo modified with an AUX jack.
As previously mentioned, included with the car are many receipts and invoices for the restorative works. Furthermore, we have the original factory build papers from Mercedes-Benz, historical documents from Germany, import/ export documentation, various invoices from the UK and the original Mercedes-Benz book packs.
