Seller's comments about 1968' Mercedes-Benz 280

Welcome to Oldie Point!
We are constantly looking for classic cars and youngtimers!
We look forward to your offer!

In March 1963, Mercedes-Benz presented the SL series W113 as the 230 SL at the Geneva Motor Show. This was introduced as the successor to the 190 SL and was designed by the famous designer Paul Bracq. The 250 SL followed in 1967 and finally the 280 SL in 1968 with 170 hp from a 2.8 L displacement. It was nicknamed the “Pagoda” because of its additional, inwardly curved hardtop.

The example presented here in a matching red sheet metal dress was registered for the first time in Vienna on August 29, 1968. After several changes of ownership, but always in Vienna, this roadster was restored to its original shine a few years ago. Most recently registered as a collector and always optimally looked after and cared for, this 280 SL is still in perfect condition, both technically and visually. The entire vehicle history can be fully verified using the original type certificate, the vehicle has already been included in the Austrian veterans register of the ÖMVV and it has two very recent valuation reports.
