General condition
First registered on the 1st February 1972 this vehicle has been a member of the vendors family for over 50 years and has been handed down through generations and very clearly loved. It’s starts, runs and drives impeccably for a vehicle of this age, it’s paintwork is deep and glossy, chrome generally fantastic (with some wear / pitting as expected) , and interior in excellent order. The wood and plastics are also in great condition. Having had a previous restoration the underside is free from corrosion with many parts replaced and refurbished. The doors have no signs of lower corrosion as well as the wheel arches both inner and outer. Overall this is in our opinion one of the best, if not the best of its kind available. The vendor is open to inspections of all kinds from serious parties
EXTERIOR
It’s hard to fault the vehicle, taking into account the age, miles and history. The paint is fresh and beautifully presented with very few blemishes to speak of, the chrome work is complete and shiny, with early signs of blemishing as expected, the lenses are clear and working and trims present, correct and clean. The wheels are freshly presented and matched with new tyres all round.
INTERIOR
The matching blue MB Tex interior oozes class and sophistication and its retro styling is iconic of its era, the seats are perfectly in shape with no sag - as expected. There are a few very small signs of wear, one being a small rip on the drivers seat, but other than that, hard to fault, with a perfect headlining, no real colour fade to its exceptional carpeting and all dash trims / steering wheel free from cracking or ageing . This is a wonderful place to be - with working electric windows and sunroof. A true testament
