1973' Mercedes-Benz 280SE

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 4.5 sedan. Finished in black over tan interior, this a fine example of the W108 chassis both inside and out. Very nice paint quality over a straight body with no known rust issues. Excellent grille, bumpers, trim and glass. Out of single-family ownership since 2007 - the car was repainted and seats were reupholstered, both to a very nice standard, under current ownership. Interior presents very nicely with excellent upholstery, dash, headliner, carpets and wood. One minor blemish on the drivers upper door panel. Original Becker Europa remains in the dash for a correct appearance, but a modern stereo is hidden inside the glove compartment. All gauges and lights are working, and all climate control sliders work properly. A/C has been converted to R-134a and blows cold. Sunroof works and all power windows work, although all but the drivers door are slow. Under the hood is an overhead cam, fuel-injected 4.5 liter V8 mated to an automatic transmission. Weve owned several 280SE 4.5s over the years and we often joke that theyll pass anything but a gas station (indeed, we think these engine are great and they certainly pull like a freight train). The present owners father purchased this car in 2007 (and correspondence from the previous owner claims known history to 1979). Books, tools, records and original window sticker included.
