Vehicle History:
Just recently the four-year restoration of this beautiful hand-built Mercedes-Benz 300Sc Coupe had been completed. Prior to restoration, the coupe was owned by the Arsuaga family in La Jolla, California for 30 years. According to Mercedes' data card, the vehicle was delivered to the United States to Mr. J. Louis. The Arsuaga family later purchased the car from internationally known 300Sc expert Chuck Brahms.
It is one of 98 fuel-injected 300Sc coupes built at Mercedes-Benz. Very few cars were delivered new to the United States. It is also rare that the coupe has been in California its entire life. The interior retains the tan leather with original handles and hardware. The carefully restored walnut dashboard is in new condition. Baisch's tan leather luggage is in the trunk, distinguishing the car as the ultimate touring machine. The restoration was performed by Sebastian Dominguez at SB Coachwork Restorations in Southern California. The 300Sc was in good original condition when the restoration began. Every component of the car was restored. The original chrome wheels (correctly dated) look fantastic. The mechanical fine tuning was done by the company Doctor Jaguar in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This coupe is ready for spirited touring.
