Seller's comments about 1980' Mercedes-Benz 450SLC

This totally original and stunning C107 was supplied new on 01/ 08/ 80 by Castles of Leicester to a Mr C. xxxxx. It was ordered in the very popular Thistle Green, combined with a Pine Green velour trim, and dark green overmats. Optional extras included tinted glass, an electric sunroof and a Blaupunkt Coburg cassette player with electric aerial, which is still working perfectly. The family kept the car until May 2023. We were told that it was garaged from day one, and judging by the exceptional condition underneath, we would say that this is absolutely true. The inside of the boot, recesses, and spare wheel well look nearly new, with absolutely no signs of previous dampness whatsoever. It comes with an unused spare, tool kit, jack, manual window winding adaptor, first aid kit and even the wood veneer stereo blanking panel. This is not just a car that's been preserved in exceptional condition, but one that's obviously been lovingly cared for from new. The driver's seat is showing no wear whatsoever, and the velour hasn't suffered from sun bleaching in the slightest. It comes with it's full compliment of handbooks, service book, data card and stereo instructions. There are 20 stamps in the service book, with Castles Mercedes taking care of servicing up to 21322 miles, and St George's Motor Co of Leicester thereafter. Being a later model 450, it also benefits from the fuel injection upgrade to solve the hot starting issues. We've just had a full service carried out, and fitted a new set of tyres. Viewing also possible in Kensington, London...
