Here we have a great opportunity to acquire a very rare and desirable Mercedes 280 CE in a very rare colour combination of dark blue over light blue, which looks amazing. The 280 is a Japanese import, which explains the colour combination as we have never seen one in this colour before, but it very much suits it and makes it pretty much unique in the world of Mercedes. The interior is delightful having recently had some money spent on restoring it and taking it back to factory original. It is a very nice place to be sat and gives the car a lovely presence and feeling of class that only a classic Mercedes can give. To finish it off internally, it would appear to still have its original radio from new.
There is a lovely service history with it, some as you would expect in Japanese and lots from when it came into the UK. One of the invoices gives details of a lot of restoration work from the renowned classic car restorers Specialist Cars of York, along with details of the interior trim work as well. The paperwork carries on with a selection of previous MOTs and various other related invoices and receipts. Interestingly there is a whole collection of photos showing the car at various stages. There are also details of previous sales of the Mercedes for quite a lot of money. According to the HPi report, it has only had 3 owners in total in the UK.
We think that this is a great example to buy and enjoy and, being what it is, it could be used as a cool daily driver. Or it could be kept as a special car that you could turn up at shows and probably be the star with its lovely colour combination, great factory specification, lovely interior and rarity.
