Mercedes 220 S series W111 preserved in original condition. The car had one owner, has all original documents from the factory original purchase from January 13, 1960 original purchase invoice to the Embassy of the United States in Rome! the car is technically efficient, running, registered with yellow plates in Poland has 2 sets of original keys for all locks The appraiser states that the vehicle structure is 95% original and complete. the collector's car has traveled approximately 200 km in Poland The car drives great. The engine has a smooth power delivery and the car can easily cruise at 70 miles per hour on the highway. The 4-speed column shifts smoothly, with no grinding or funny noises from the transmission. The car drives quietly, there are no strange vibrations or groans. The brake servo has been recently rebuilt and the car stops nice and straight. All gauges and dashboard controls work, All doors close effortlessly with a solid click. It has 2 original sets of keys The interior is finished with fabric in a Euro-market pattern and goes very well with the external ivory color. The seats are comfortable and well-cushioned. The seat belts are adapted from marine or aircraft grade parts and are in excellent condition. The underside of the car looks solid and dry. This is a great example of a fintail Mercedes W111 with good history/documentation that can be enjoyed straight away and driven until values increase enough to justify another restoration. Since Fintail prices are just starting to rise, it's a great time to buy such a car
