If such a vehicle ends up with a meticulous entrepreneur from southern Germany, who spares no effort to bring HIS 560 into the desired service condition, it means that everything has been checked from front to back and replaced where necessary. Among other things, after a substantial, truly comprehensive service, a new Sonnenland soft top was fitted. In addition, the seats were completely reupholstered and leathered, of course by a well-known specialist, in the original leather colour, as documented by the invoice total. But that’s not all: after around 38 years, the paint can no longer look brand new, no matter how you polish. The 560 was given a full repaint, exactly in the original delivery colour 702 Rauchsilber-met./ met., naturally at a local master craftsman shop. There are before/ after photos. The before photos are to be admired in the TÜV report from late 2022, and during this inspection it was noted that the SL is rust-free (not welded) and accident-free. A very well cared-for, 38-year-old vehicle. The mileage is consistent as well: in the past 10 years it has been driven only about 25, 000 km during the summer months. But that’s not all. A discreet yet clearly resonant performance sports exhaust system in stainless steel was installed, with highly polished stainless sport tailpipes. In addition, a wood/ sport steering wheel without an airbag (registered!). The original wheel is available and will be supplied or reinstalled and the airbag activated. Included in the price is the flawless hardtop. A lift-on inspection is possible. Alternatively, the mounted wheels can be exchanged for near-new Barock wheels. The TÜV report rated the vehicle before the extensive investments as a 2-.
