Seller's comments about 1966' Mercedes-Benz W110 230
For sale privately Mercedes-Benz W110, 230 petrol with two SOLEX 38 PDSI-2 carburetors, 105 HP. A car from 1966 (2nd series), imported in its original condition from the USA in 2018. The car has an automatic transmission, power steering, an original Becker radio from the era, MB-Tex upholstery, and side markers (USA version). It is fully preserved in accordance with the original. The car has undergone an engine overhaul, which included: - replacement of rings - replacement of pistons - honing of the block - regeneration of the cylinder head with checking of valves, pushers, sealants, etc. The carburetors were regenerated and adjusted (synchronised). All clearances were removed. in the suspension. Additionally, the fuel pump was replaced (original, mechanical), the brakes were rebuilt, including: the brake pump, brake discs, pads, pistons, shoes. The oil in the gearbox was changed. All work was performed by a specialist who has been dealing with Mercedes for over 40 years. I have a huge amount of documents and invoices for the car from the beginning of its purchase in the USA to the moment of export to Poland, which show its history over the past decades. Everything is available for inspection. The Mercedes is registered as a historic vehicle. The car starts perfectly. The engine runs smoothly, the car has power and drives great. The gearbox works properly, changes gears without dragging, does not jerk. Kick-down works properly. The car is in good body and paint condition. It is not a "good base for reconstruction" as it is commonly read in advertisements, but the car certainly requires attention due to its age. I will be happy to answer all questions in person during the inspection of the car or by phone. I invite.
