The Mercedes W113 was created as a successor to two sports models, considered one of the first supercars: 300 SL roadster and 190 SL. It gained the nickname "Pagoda" right after its premiere, given to the new model by journalists due to the concave shape of the roof (hardtop version), which resembled the roofs of Far Eastern temples. The designer of the Pagoda was the Frenchman Paul Bracq. The body of the new roadster he created was considered very modern in its time.
The vehicle offered by our company came to Poland from the United States a few years ago. The comprehensive renovation was carried out by Classic-Group from Bielsko-Biała. The presented copy is the popular 280SL version with automatic transmission and an engine with a capacity of 2778 cm3 and a power of 170 HP. In terms of bodywork, paintwork and mechanics, the car is in excellent condition. The 280 is an example of excellent craftsmanship that will remain in its present condition for many years to come. The finishing of the details and accessories installed in the car perfectly emphasizes the high class of the renovation. Since the completion of construction, the car has been constantly kept ready to drive by the staff of an experienced classic car service.
