Leads sleds are very popular and this 1950 Mercury Lead Sled has a lot going for it! Starting with the 4.5 chopped roof line, fender skirts, shaved handles, 1950 Buick taillights, billet bumpers, 1953 Desoto grill, lake pipes, dummy spotlights, and gorgeous Emerald Green Metallic paint with ghost flames. This Lead Sled has also been nosed and decked for a truly one of a kind look. 1961 Dodge Polara spinner hubcaps look fantastic with the wide white wall tires! This paint job changes with the sun from a Deep Green, to a shade of blue in some lights, to black in overcast weather. Built by The Sandman in West Utah Valley, this Merc is sure to stand out at car shows. The interior is custom as well with new Dakota Digital dash and gauges, bucket seats, a custom center console with AM/FM/CD player, and air bag controller. Hit the button to lay this car out for a real low rider stance, or raise it up to ride height. The car really looks good either way. A Cadillac tilt steering column with woodgrain on the wheel finishes off the interior with class. Under the hood is a mildly built 327 CID V8 with plenty of chrome. It is backed by a Turbo 350 automatic with new driveshaft and u-joints. The air compressor are nicely installed in the trunk which also hold a spare tire with cover, car cover, and extra hub caps. New parts include a full Painless Wiring kit just installed, Diamond Back Auburn Premium wide white wall radial tires, 4 peep mirrors with extensions, front brakes, wheel bearings, rear shocks, and Firestone air bags. If youre looking to stand out from the crowd, this Merc is a great way to do it! This vehicle is available to view by appointment only. Please call the office to make an appointment.
