Seller's comments about 1967' Mercury Cougar
..PRICE JUST REDUCED!!..you've found an exceptionally clean; virtually rust free 1967 project car..this year is the most sought after Mercury Cougar. This car has always been located/driven in the Southeast and is tantamount to a "barn find". It is an automatic with a 289 (not original) engine. You won't see one that is better or nicer for restoration. It was driven into the storage facility but is not capable of being driven at the moment..ie..transmission should be solid since it was operating flawlessly a couple of years ago when last driven. The engine starts and sounds as it should but there is no registration presently and it is not insured to drive on the street. Call Neal to set up an appointment to see the car. It is located near Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta, Georgia. I have a partner in this venture (Steve) who is a valid mechanic and he will have to be involved in starting the engine (gas tank has not been cleaned) so that will have to be coordinated whenever someone wants to hear the engine. He lives nearby and I can give you his cell phone number for your mechanical/engine questions when we reach that point in your search for the perfect "PROJECT/RESTORATION" car..ie the 1967 MERCURY COUGAR!!
