1971' MG 1300

MG versions of the ADO16 were produced from 1962 until 1971 first in 1098cc. In 1968 the four door option was dropped and the MK2 cars were launched with a new interior, twin carburettors, close ratio gearbox and the eleven stud head engine, close in specification to the Cooper-S. These models have become quite rare and collectable.
This car is a 1971 MG1300 in Connaught Green. The mileage is correct at just 44, 000 from new, due to a long period in storage from 1985 until 2014. The body and underside are in superb order and the interior is in very smart original condition with the exception of a replacement carpet set. There is comprehensive service history up to 24, 000 miles then several recent bills for annual servicing since it was put back on the road. We last sold this car in 2019 and gave it a light re-commissioning including an engine service and new clutch – the last owner has only covered just a few hundred miles in three years. It’s running and driving beautifully in in-molested condition and ready for use.
