1959' MG MGA 1600

MGA RHD UK car. Registered 1959 (with V5c & heritage certificate. Non transferable period reg no.). Not quite finished project.
This is a stalled ’nut and bolt’ project. The chassis is original & straight and has been powder coated black. The body is in need of some work but is generally in very good condition. Front and rear wings are steel and original to the car and have already been repaired to a very high standard. Doors, bonnet and boot lid are all supplied. Body tub and wings have been blasted and repaired, they are in red oxide primer.
The list of parts is to long to publish, but I have all the bills from Moss.
Rolling chassis:
Fully assembled, the original engine was missing so the chassis is fitted with a fully rebuilt engine 1500 Magnette engine (0 miles) and unleaded cylinder head. - rebored, new pistons, ground crank etc.etc. (all the old parts are available for inspection),new alternator & starter. It is also fitted with a new 5 speed type 9 transmission to a rebuilt rear axle (the original gearbox to be included). New fuel tank, lines, brakes, suspension. New stainless steel full exhaust system. Front brakes converted to MGB disc with neg camber arms ( reduces bump steer ) - original front drum brakes and suspension to come with the car. New steering rack. New floor boards pack. Original battery cover panel. Twin carbs and manifold are supplied but need restoring.
It will be supplied with its red leather seats, windscreen (complete) and a hood frame ( the dashboard and instruments were missing when I purchased the car as was the trim and lights but all are available. ) The panels are currently lightly attached to the body for inspection. The chassis is rolling.
Really needs to be inspected to see the quality of the work done so far and the sheer number of new parts.
Finish off to your own specification, a superb winter project that might realistically be ready for the Spring next year ( original colours are red/red ). Not a desperate sale so no silly offers please.
