Capots Vintage, specialists in sports and classic cars in Lyon, are pleased to offer for sale a 1959 MGA 1500 Convertible:Capots Vintage presents this very fine MGA 1500 Convertible, an iconic English roadster of the 1950s. As certified by the British Motor Heritage, this MGA was delivered new to the United States in April 1959 and today presents itself in excellent condition, having undergone a complete, detailed restoration.It is presented in its Old English White livery with a Bordeaux leather interior, and features four wire wheels also painted Bordeaux, giving it an original look. Under the bonnet, the original 1489 cc engine has been completely rebuilt and paired with a new four-speed gearbox.Completely rebuilt both mechanically and aesthetically, the bodywork has in particular been disassembled for repainting and the chassis treated with epoxy paint. Many body components have been replaced with new parts. The Bordeaux leather interior, the engine, the gearbox, the running gear, and the braking system have all been entirely rebuilt, greatly enhancing the car’s reliability. We have a substantial file of invoices and photos documenting the work carried out.Delivered with its black PVC hood and its Bordeaux alpaca tonneau cover.Photo and video dossier available on request.
