The MGA is recognized by the automotive world as one of the most beautiful roadsters in the history of British sports cars and, without a doubt, during its production period from 1955 to 1962, it allowed the MG brand to compete with the greatest, getting under the skin of not only Jaguar but also the Italian Alfa Spider.
The MG A mk2 was only produced in just over 8,000 units, which makes these cars with a 1,600 engine and 90 horsepower extremely rare and, of course, extremely collectible. Interestingly, a huge part of the production was exported to the American market, where this classy athlete was loved.
The presented copy has a very clear history - it came to Sweden from dry Texas almost 20 years ago, in 2005 in good condition, and was registered in the same year. The restoration of the car began in 2016 and was completed in 2018. It required tests and further corrections of everything that comes out after each restoration process... but this was already done by the new, second owner, who eliminated all weak points at MG, including by renovating the gearbox. gears, which previously stuck with every change.
The MG is equipped with a soft roof in excellent condition, a set of opening side windows and a cover closing the interior of the car, perfect for parking.
The car has a complete set of documents, photo documentation from Sweden, and owner's manuals from the era, and is fully ready to drive.
