This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025 on Sunday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
Offered fresh to market after forming part of Roy McCarthy’s personal MG collection for many years, in actual fact this was Roy’s first car which clearly made a real impression and cemented his interest in the world of MGs for many years to come
Predominantly used as daily transport in the early years, however there were also early outings as a race car prior to Roy building his first dedicated MG racing steed some years later, leading to a long and successful amateur race career
In our vendor's words 'It has not been driven for at least 35 years but it has been dry stored since then, but to my surprise the engine starts and runs after draining and filling the fuel tank'
