Seller's comments about 1970' MG MGB
MGB GT: Very Rare Auto/ Owned 33 Years/ Restored 1990’s
The MGB GT, designed by Pininfarina, was introduced in October 1965, and can claim to be one of the earliest sports hatchbacks to go into volume production. The rear deck offers excellent luggage space with a 2+2 option and improved aerodynamics gives the GT a top speed in excess of 100mph.
At Milestone Classics we are always looking for nice BGT’s and were therefore delighted when this BGT (Mk 2) with an extremely rare automatic gearbox appeared on our radar. One of just 1, 285 GTs and 452 roadsters, this is only the second automatic BGT that we have had the pleasure to market during the last 10 years.
The car has been the pride and joy of a local Doctor for over 30 years, and she used her beloved GT on a regular basis as a high-days and holiday fun car.

There is a huge history file with the BGT that contains registration documents, old MOT’s, lots (and lots) of invoices from expenditure over the last 40 years, pictures of the restoration etc.
The MG has always been garaged and presents well with just the slight paint blemish commensurate with age.
Meticulously maintained for many years on the road she drives exactly as you would expect. We like the automatic gearbox and with the slightly high ratio rear-axle the car really makes for the perfect Grand Tourer
The days have long gone when the BGT was the poor relation to the B Roadster and good examples are highly prized.
Milestones have priced this extremely rare auto very competitively to allow the new owner scope to put their personal stamp on the car - we expect her to find a new custodian very quickly.
