1979 MG B GT - RESTORED & REPAINTEDThe 1979 MGB GT is a classic 2+2 sports coupé, representing the final years of the MGB's production (1962–1980). Often called a 'rubber bumper' model, it features the prominent black polyurethane bumpers introduced in late 1974 to meet US safety regulations, along with a suspension raised by one inch. Having the 1. 8-litre (1798cc) B-series straight-four engine with approximately 95–97 bhp coupled to the 4-speed manual gearbox, frequently equipped with an optional overdrive unit active in 3rd and 4th gears for improved cruising. Top speed of roughly 104–105 mph; 0–60 mph in approximately 13 seconds. Distinctive fastback styling by the Italian firm Pininfarina confirmed the MGB GT's place in 1970s classic car styling. This example was recommissioned and repainted some years ago in the iconic Inca yellow. Owned by an enthusiastic vendor who looked after the Car fastidiously – poor health has meant it has stood for some years in dry storage, it is currently running and driving but so it may need some light mechanical recommissioning. Showing 18829 miles on the odometer, this vehicle is only covered 6000 miles in the past 20 years and it is highly likely the mileage is genuine- however unwarranted. Finding such examples like this are difficult and this represents a rare opportunity to take an already decent example to the next level. Sensibly guided at £5500-£6500This vehicle is located near Radstock, Somerset BA3 from where it will need to be collected. Motorscan report and videos available on request.
