A rare 4 seater example of the PB, often regarded as the last "true" M.G. before Morris Motors management insisted on a more conventional engine design

for the next model.

The PB engine has an overhead camshaft driven through a vertical dynamo and although only 940cc gives an excellent performance with 70 plus top speed from 43 bhp.

The 4 speed gearbox has gear positions "reversed" so initial care is needed!

Ten years ago this car was a chassis missing many parts, including the engine. An M.G. expert spent years sourcing these parts and comprehensively rebuilding the car, even obtaining the number JB 6879 to be close to the original JB 6869.

The history of the car can be traced back to new with Abingdon records of warranty work and the car is finished in the correct colours.

The rebuild was carried out to exacting standards and this PB is now one of the best.

First registered 17/9/1935 as JB 6869

Re-registered as VXS 384 on 1/11/2016

Number then changed to JB 6879

Final part of restoration, new rear hubs and wheels all round and a new set of tyres completed 2020

Chassis number PB 0295, engine number 751 APB (original 552 APB).
