This is a unique and special 1973 MG Midget RWA with a 1. 8-litre Zetec engine and five-speed manual gearbox. Finished in the beautiful ‘Iris Blue’, the bodywork is fantastic and shines beautifully in the sunshine. In 2017 this Midget was subject to a full body restoration and was done to a high standard which is a rare to see on a MG Midget.
Included in the file there are invoices costing over £7, 500 in maintenance, service and repairs, and this doesn't include the price of the car and the materials and labour spent on the restoration.
This Midget has been fitted with a 1. 8-litre Zetec engine on R1 carbs with over 140bhp, so it’s safe to say with the car not weighing much, it’s plenty of fun on all roads. The engine was professionally setup by Bogg Bros with a Nodiz ECU. The Zetec engine is paired with a Type 9 five-speed manual gearbox.
This car has also had a new clutch, tyres, minilites, springs, exhaust, mohair hood, carpet a seats with fixed runners. Other upgrades include Telescopic shocks and front drilled and grooved discs. We don’t believe there’s another Midget out there like it built to this condition.
Not often do we get cars in our showroom with unique builds, and this is no exception. If you want something fun and completely different to other Midgets, this is it.
