This 1946 MG TC had resided with its last custodian for ten years and during that time it has been well maintained and cared for. The car has been the subject of significant restoration in the past which began in 1991 when the car was rebuilt from the chassis up with a new body tub and the total cost of this work 30 years ago was approaching £8, 000 which would be several multiples higher in today's money. Since then the car has been regularly maintained and a further engine strip down and rebuild was undertaken in 2014. The car still presents extremely well today with generally excellent paintwork apart from the odd blemish which is to be expected after so many years since the main restoration was completed. The leather seats show some discolouration in places, but remain in good condition with no rips or tears. The dashboard is also in excellent condition. The car has a full complement of wet weather gear sidescreens. The hood is made of cloth and although showing its age in places remains water tight. The chrome is all in very good condition as the photographs will demonstrate. The car fires up on the button and runs cleanly and moves through the gears without issue. The history file is very substantial and starts from the late 70s and includes the fully documented rebuilt undertaken in 1991. Overall this is a really nice older restoration which should offer it next custodian many years of fun open top motoring. We believe the car is excellent value at the asking price of £21, 950.
