Seller's comments about 1947' MG TC
One of only 50 cars to be exported new to Sweden and we have a record of all owners since. She is still fitted with an original factory KPH speedo - quite a rare item these days.
This is no trailer queen, rather a well mechanically sorted car which can be used without worrying. She would certainly benefit from cosmetic attention but is solid, on the button and everything works. If it were me I'd drive the car through the summer (must be due soon?) and tinker over the winter.
Runs well with good oil pressure and has a stainless extractor manifold installed along with larger 1.5" SU carburetors. She has been fitted with a Hi-Gear five-speed conversion kit and a Volkswagen steering box which make the car a joy to drive.
She is currently fitted with two bucket seats which I find extremely comfortable, although I would be happy to fit an original bench type seat if you'd prefer (I'll have the buckets myself!).
We have just imported this car from Sweden and are in the process of acquiring UK paperwork. Give me a call if you need any more information.
