The TF 1500 is the rarest of the “T” series MGs. The MG car company produced 9,600 units (1250s and 1500s) between October 1953 and May, 1955. Only 3,400 1500s were produced and the majority were left hand drive for the export market. She is a genuine right hand drive car. in 1978, CVD underwent a total restoration with Naylor Brothers at a cost of £35,000. All receipts are available in the comprehensive history file. Naylor’s are highly respected and are amongst the very best. Many components were replaced with NOS parts. She is finished in BRG with a tan interior. She has full weather equipment including tourneau - all in excellent condition. She has matching engine/chassis numbers She has been restored to her original specification, having only a few sensible extras. These include N/S screen mirror, alloy tappet and rocker box covers, fog and spot lamps (wired correctly utilising factory fitted switches and auxiliary wiring), grey painted spoked wheels, a rare period heater and front mud flaps. She has only covered 29,000 miles since the 1978 restoration and has subsequently been maintained regardless of cost. Invoices totalling a further £25,000 illustrate this. She is without question, one of the finest of the marque. She will be sold with an original MG jack, copper hammer tyre pump and workshop manual.
