Age: 45 years

I have decided to offer my stunning Mini Cooper "S" spec, Rally Car for sale, owing to lack of practical use, at my age of 69! I am normally a Jaguar Collector, with a varied collection of Classic Cars & Commercials in my ownership, with this superb example of a 60's Cult Classic being bought as a static exhibit for my car fanatic, 10 year old Grandson in 2016. Getting short of space, (Even for this tiny one!), plus at my age, it is getting more and more difficult to squeeze my growing late-life bulge in to its gorgeous interior!
Constructed superbly, by an expert on Cooper S rally cars, having only covered very little mileage since, with far too many options to list here, so viewing in its flesh, will certainly prove this point to any seriously interested parties. Today's costs to replicate the same, would possibly be twice my asking price, which I know is a fraction of its build cost.
To begin, an original great shell, restored with new wings, new "A" post panel's, Downton prepared engine bored to 1330cc, semi dished pistons, Titan 1.5 lift roller rockers, 286 Kent Cams, Steel S crankshaft damper,& Metro polished big valve head. Weber 45 Carburettor, 3 branch manifold, with steel inlet & lightened new steel flywheel with balanced rods & crankshaft.
A 4 pin 3.9 ratio differential, a fab straight cut drop gearbox & competition clutch. Fully Poly bushed adjustable rear suspension, uprated brakes, vented discs, 4 pot calipers, hydraulic handbrake cable, 1.5 negative bottom arms, adjustable tie rods, Aldon distributor, twin tanks, bolt in roll cage, Cooper S front Grill, Works Sump guard & Magnum Glass Fibre Bonnet.
On road, she is a very fast mini with Awesome Fabulous sound, at high & Low revs, commanding lots of attention wherever she goes and great fun to drive, superbly set up with lots of "MINI POWER".
Presents almost too well for a Rally Car, with stunning paintwork, (Just noticed a tiny paint lift under nearside rear window seam), underside immaculate, with very clean and efficient engine bay, boot & interior.
Sad to see her go, certainly an investment for the future. I specialise in covered race/classic car transportation, if that is required by the new lucky owner.
