Seller's comments about 1971' Morgan Plus 8

This is my 1971 Morgan Plus 8 which has had a no expense spared restoration conducted to a very high standard. Finished in its original Ivory White, the car has a 5 speed gearbox, 3.5 V8 engine with electronic fuel injection. Its mileage is a confirmed 56,761 miles.
Restoration involved stripping the car down to the bare chassis and all metalwork was blasted and powder coated. The ash frame was restored and minor sections replaced where required. The front and rear wings have been replaced with beautifully hand-formed light weight aluminium units, manufactured by Techniques.
Reassembly required fitting re-conditioned or replacement components as appropriate. This included a new petrol tank top (with new fuel lines), a new larger and more efficient aluminium radiator, braided oil cooler pipes, new Wilwood brake calipers and restored rear brake drums. The electrics have been completely renewed with a new Morgan loom, and an engine immobiliser with a fuel cut-off switch behind the seats. The engine has had a full service and it runs smoothly and cleanly.
The interior of the car has been completely re-trimmed by a renowned Classic/Vintage Car specialist with top quality carpets, door trim and a restored leather-covered dashboard. The seats were rebuilt and upholstered using top quality leather from the Netherlands and finished with red piping. A new red Mohair soft-top was fabricated also with a matching spare wheel cover.
The car has the original Morgan Motor Company alloy wheels, refurbished with new tyres fitted all round.
The car has been in the ownership of my close family for 47 years and I am its third owner through inheritance. A great deal of care and money has gone into its restoration and it is immaculate throughout - almost like a new car. It drives very nicely and the car bears its original registration number VOL432J.
Two final points:
- The oil cooler at the front of the car has very slight oil seepage.
- The rev counter has just stopped working which is probably due to a loose connection as it was previously functioning.
