1956 four-door, split-screen. Project car looking for good home. Birmingham.
Black exterior, with slightly patchy paint as this was sprayed as part of an insurance job when someone rear ended me. The boot cover and bumper were fixed very well, but the paint job was unfortunately cheap. This is because they couldn't match the original green/ grey colour of the car, so I opted for black.
The interior has red leather seats and door panels, with white fabric roof. There are some tears to the passenger and drivers seat leather and the ceiling. These are believed to be the original leathers and this is why they are in poor condition due to the age of the car.
There is an 8-track within the car, but also a modern stereo and speakers. These will be included with the sale of the car. I will also include my Morris Minor magazines I have received each month whilst being a member of the MMOC having Maurice. They are very useful for helping with standard repairs and learning more about the Morris brand.
He was once a daily runner doing about 30-40 miles a day to work, but since changing jobs I now do upwards of 28, 000 miles a year and so he has been sat on the drive for a while. He has had over £5, 000 worth of works on him over the years and I can provide an excel spreadsheet with these details and was bought for £2, 500. This included converting to unleaded. He is currently SORN and pre-1960 the Tax is free and doesn't have to be MOT'd so hasn't been for a few years now.
I would advise taking home on a low-loader/ trailer due to him being sat for a while. I have a video from before Christmas (2021) where I had him running in the garden to take videos to sell him. Starts well. Have moved him around my garden a few times to keep the tyres from going too flat. He is sat without the and brake on to prevent sticking issues with the brakes. The drivers side has a trafficator but it doesn't appear to be attached to any wiring.
Happy to answer any questions/ provide more photos to anyone interested as I'm trying to relocate to the south-west and don't have the capacity to take him with me. using the button below
