What a superb useable thing a classic that doesn't cost the earth , a 1969 Austin 6 Cwt a much rarer version Moggy pick up, these were in production for only a couple of years to fill Austins commercial line up after the end of production of the A35, told apart by the signature Austin grill and of course the badging and steering wheel, aside from that its exactly the same as a Moggy but a noticeable talking point she's a fantastic old girl which has been the project of the last owner since 2015, there are 2 folders full of receipts for new parts including brakes , petrol tank etc , its had an unleaded conversion so that really helps, also has 5 new tyres , the noise of this little pick up really takes you back , she starts on the button and the engine is stupidly quiet and smooth for a 55 year old car, all gears select as they should , everything works as it should too , the interior is lovely and tidy with replaced seat covers and its all in keeping with it being a commercial has had a temp and oil pressure gauge fitted so you can see what's going on , has the original rear roof hoops which are incredibly hard to find and a ratty canvas cover ,
Free from modern interferences just you and the road
The mileage who knows looking through the paperwork its definitely turned over
there is a piece of carboard where a previous owner has kept a record of all the servicing he did , it made me chuckle
She's absolutely lovely but not perfect (were they ever) , but looks and drives really nice , just puts a smile on your face
