Seller's comments about 1958' Morris Oxford
The Morris Oxford Series 3 1/ 2 ton model was sold from 1956 through to 1962, after which the A55-based commercial took over. The Series 3 replaced the previous Cowley MCV that used the MO Oxford as its basis. The new Series 3 was based on the contemporary Morris Oxford saloon, and was available as a pickup, a van, or chassis cab for third party coachwork.
This example is very well presented and really does drive superbly. It starts instantly and sounds great. It pulls well and goes along very nicely. The drivetrain is perfect, the gear change is smooth and the clutch just the same. The brakes are spot on, they have recently been refurbished and probably better than when new!
The paintwork is of a high standard and, although not immaculate, it is very good! There is no corrosion and any restoration work carried out has been done properly. The interior is original and a lovely feature to the vehicle.
The pick up comes complete with history and paperwork including the current V5.
