We are delighted to present this MOT & Tax Exempt Morris Minor Traveller 1000 -based on the Minor saloon but with a structural timber frame to the rear. These gained a cult reputation at the time of build – being an extremely resourceful and versatile vehicle in its day and earning its place as one of the nation’s favourite classics…. either by transporting the family or by being used as a van for daily work.
Externally, this Morris has really been treated to a significant refurbishment programme – with a full external respray, as well as a replacement bumper and hub caps – the wood is in good condition, as the photos show & has been sealed with a new stain to protect it for many years to come.
On the inside this refurbishment is evident too – with new seat belts, deluxe carpeting throughout, and a recent set of proper Morris style floor matting, in the body colour. As you can see, it is a nice place to be – it starts with the first turn of the key too, and all the gauges and the dial work exactly as they should.
Out on the road is where this old girl really shines though – it is a joy to drive and really takes one back to the 1960s behind the wheel. The SU carb means a slightly better experience with slightly more power than one might expect to find, too.
