Seller's comments about 1971' Oldsmobile 88

This 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale convertible is a long-term family-owned classic that has its big numbers-matching V8 under the hood. And not only does it have low mileage, but also the upgrade to the triple black style just makes for an even more awesome cruiser. The Delta 88 was made to own the road. Its a wide car with crisp lines and flared fenders. Plus, Oldsmobile was one of the best at making sure its big chrome bumpers integrated into the design with a nearly seamless quality. The black paint was an update later in life. Today it retains a nice gloss in the sunshine while also absolutely being driver quality. So it sets the right tone for a car thats easy to cruise. And one of the reasons why we like this one so much is that it has been in the long-term care of a father and son (the father was also only the second owner.) So theres some nice care in the details, right down to the newer black cloth top and the classic factory wheel covers. The paint, roof, and the interior give this Olds an ultra-desirable triple-black presentation. We love this Delta 88 because it has some serious size where it will be easy to take up to five family and friends with you for a ride. But Olds also made sure the driver was the most important position. You sit behind the factory steering wheel, and the driver-focused instruments creates a very individual feel. You have within an easy reach of features like the AM/FM stereo and switch for the power convertible top. It all makes for a cruiser thats vintage, premium, and personal. To move all that sheet metal you need big torque, and so this has Oldsmobiles optional 455 cubic inch V8. The big blue block has an honest look, and even better, its the numbers-matching powerhouse. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is also the original unit, and it delivers a nice balance between a stout construction and smooth shifting. So with other features like the power steering, power brakes, front discs, and the Oldsmobiles supple ride, this classic keeps its easy cruising status. The sale comes complete with the owners manual and service manuals. Maybe youll give it a respray, add air conditioning, upgrade the exhaust, or some other personal project. But nothing gets in the way of the fundamental appeal of one of the best big motor boulevard cruisers that also has a story to tell. So dont miss out, call today!
