Rare opportunity to purchase a 1954 Oldsmobile Super 88 Cabriolet from a classic car collection. Only 5,790 were built, today there are perhaps 120 left! This family cruiser with a "mild custom look" is equipped with a 324 cui Rocket engine (5.3 L V8) and a 4-speed "Hydramatic Super Drive" automatic transmission. The manufacturer General Motors installed the same reliable technology as in the top models from Cadillac, with the difference, however, that Oldsmobile models were a little more "lively" to move. It is no coincidence that advertising slogans such as "More Horsepower per dollar than any other new car" or "Hydra-Matic Drive - No gears to shift... no clutch to press!" were advertised, and the advances in technology were also illustrated in advertisements and performance by rocket projectiles. Visually striking and therefore also distinctive for this design period, the rocket-shaped rear lights and the panoramic window design. The new price for this classic? At the time, this was an incredible USD 5,290. Contrary to the very striking paint finish, the "two tone" interior in vinyl tuck'n'roll style, the white electr. Soft top and the wide white wall tires again have a very harmonious note and thus provide an unbeatable contrast. Incidentally, the hubcaps come from an Oldsmobile Fiesta from 1956. In general, this is an older restoration in very good and well-kept condition with few signs of wear. Only the original radio and speedometer are without function. Currently German papers (H license plate) and fresh TÜV 2 years. Assistance for an Austrian individual permit can be given, but is not included in the purchase price. Spare wheel in the trunk, instructions for use (shop manual), Alpine radio (USB) installed in the glove compartment with a subwoofer under the seat and receipts for the latter repairs are also included.
