1970' Opel GT

OPEL GT from 1970. Only 103,373 units were produced, over 70% of which were sold to the American market. Its production began in 1968. The exterior was based on the American Chevrolet Corvette and on the flowing lines of a Coca-Cola bottle, the body was designed by Clare McKichan, who was the designer and co-creator of many Chevrolets of the 1950s and Chuck Jordan (who designed, among others, Camaro, Corvette Stingray).
It was produced for only 5 years. It was based on the OPEL GT known from our streets today, and the offered copy was displayed in the Opel showroom in Germany as a prototype of the latest design.
The Opel GT was advertised with the slogan: "Only flying is more pleasant" and it is true. The GT in 1972 with a diesel engine installed broke 2 world records and 18 international records.
The GT has accessories from the famous Opel tuner Lenk and was rebuilt and preserved in Germany in the 1980s and is still in very good technical and visual condition. The GT is garaged and never driven in the rain, it is regularly started in the winter to keep it in good condition.
The car's exterior paint was refreshed two years ago. I bought the car at the beginning of 2001 in Germany. The vehicle has a historical description by an appraiser known to collectors in Poland, but it has not been registered as a historic car. Of course, you can always do this. The car has the original Brief from 1970! Over the 22 years I have owned the GT, it has traveled approximately 4,000 km.
