1971' Opel Manta

In 1969, designer George Gallion went to Paris to join marine biologist Jacques Cousteau to see some photographs of manta rays that his team had captured. Several hours later, he found one that captured his attention. A gigantic manta ray photographed from below against the glittering surface of the sea. This then became the emblem of the car. Chrome, placed on the front fenders. Emblems are no longer made with this paint.
In 1970, the first Opel Manta left the Antwerp factory and, with it, a model that would tell more than 1 million stories.
