1938' Peugeot 302

Peugeot's 30's "Aerodynamique" Streamlined Body, Centrally mounted Marchal Headlights, Teardrop deco side lights, Rear embelished Spats, and internal Bakelite fittings-A time warp survivor from Nazi occupied France. In original Black Stove Enamel finsh the car sits on 4 good Michelin X tyres. Previous owner fitted -Stainless exhaust, new carpets, door panels and Headlining. Car has recent - New 12 volt battery, coil, electric S. U. Fuel pump and Speedometer cable. Replacing the original Old Solex Carb ,(with car), with a new period Zenith gives the 1991cc 4 cylinder engine, instant starting and smooth running. Clean gear selection and Brakes surprisingly efficient. Production of the 302 was only 18 months with WAR on the horizon and with German invasion, the occupying Wehrmacht army siezed many privately owned vehicles, many of which were destroyed.   Remaining Peugeot models from this era are now rare.                     New Purchase means 5 classics here now.
