Seller's comments about 1913' Pierce-Arrow Model 66
With its enormous 824.7 cubic-inch six-cylinder engine the Pierce-Arrow Model 66 is quite simply one of the grandest most potent and most prestigious automobiles of the Brass Era. The Model 66 debuted in 1910 and was named for its 66 horsepower output yet that figure quickly rose to over 100 horsepower by 1913. This breathtaking example is one of only 14 known survivors and these cars rarely become available on the open market. Originally delivered to Chicago it was later used by the Minneapolis fire department from the early 1920s-on. The original body was removed when it served as a fire tender and now wears an exact cast aluminum recreation of its original 7-passenger touring coachwork artfully crafted by the Ex-Harrahs coachbuilder Ray Graber. Updated with on-board starter and improved ignition system to ensure reliable running. Superb in every respect and proven on numerous long-distance tours. An extremely rare opportunity to acquire one of the greatest motorcars of the brass era. This vehicle just arrived and a full description is coming soon. Please contact Hyman Ltd for more details.
