Plymouth featured a synchro-mesh transmission which means going back down to first gear requires a complete stop or a smooth double-clutch rev-matched downshift. Times sure have changed! For the era Plymouth was innovating some technology. They often bragged in their advertisements how there was no need for chokes or starter buttons - simply start and go! Their four-wheel hydraulic drum brake system was known as Safe-Guard brakes and were quite impressive. Step into a different era and buy a piece of history!
