In the 1960 model year, the 356 A was replaced by the completely revised 356 B (T5). All 356 generations were also available in an open-top version (Cabriolet, Speedster or Roadster). Particularly sporty variants were given the additional designation "Carrera" from the 365 A model onwards and were powered by a so-called "Fuhrmann engine". The Carrera 2 is the top model in the 356 series with an output of 130 hp. The car was extensively reworked on the basis of its largely original bodywork. The technical overhaul was carried out by the renowned specialist Karl Loch, who completely overhauled the engine. The vehicle is extensively documented, numerous invoices and receipts as well as the Porsche Kardex are available. According to the available documents, this vehicle, which was bodied by the Reutter company, was delivered to its first owner, a coffee roaster manufacturer from near Turin, on 9 March 1963 via the Porsche Autogerma branch in Bologna, Italy. The current paintwork in the colour ruby red corresponds to the delivery. The engine has been replaced over the years with an engine of the same type.
