The number 356 was assigned to this Porsche due to the fact that this was the 356th project to be developed by Porsche Engineering. The Model Typ 540 K/9-1 was the first production car designed with special Lightweight / Convertible / Sport features. Production began in 1954 where they were built by Reutter Coachworks with a production run of four years until 1958 and in the second series as is this beautiful specimen they had some improvements.
