The 1973.5 is one of the best years for early 911s because this was the year the 2.4 liter 6 was incorporated with a K-Jetronic (CIS)_ Bosch fuel injection system. Due to the additional power, a stronger transmission with a more traditional 5 speed “H” pattern was also added. Historic wins at Daytona, Sebring and Nurburgring with the “S” version of this car made racing history and placed Porsche on track for many more wins in the following years.
