Original to Certificate of Authentication except for changes made in period ie Headlight washers changed to flush to bumper in the 90’s (thus becoming part of the history.
The Bodywork presents to a very high standard, and all mechanics are as should be, everything works (even the heater!)
The car received an extensive refresh by the original owner back in the 90’s to return the car to as new condition. In my ownership the car has received New front wings (old stock, not pattern).
The work revealed inner wings to be in surprisingly good condition with minor remedial works to rectify, with photos to demonstrate. Re-fit and paint completed to highest standard, including renewal of all seals, gaskets and bellows etc using genuine Porsche parts.
The exterior presents to a very high standard and no rust. The car looks as good as the pictures and the engine bay has the original stickers. The car is always well received at Porsche Club meets.
The engine received top end rebuild fitting 993 studs. Timing chain tensions have been updated and turbo track rod ends installed. The gearbox has been reconditioned by a specialist replacing all syncro’s and installing a complete new clutch. On start up a puff of blue smoke is deemed acceptable but on this car there is no hint, even after lying idle for weeks.
The interior presents very well. The front seats were recovered in the 90’s
I have fitted the desirable Momo Steering Wheel, (original special order 380mm wheel retained)
The car was purchased from Charles Follett London by the founder of a ‘by royal appointment’ company and sold after 20years to a friend who owned it for a further 7yrs, who sold it to the owner prior to me.
The sale is regrettable but necessary. I require £48,000 and am happy to wait for the right person,
