HISTORY

1. Originally Aga blue, this USA car was imported from the state of Virginia in 2000 to the Netherlands. Original 'Certificate of Title' indicates a 66 model as all 1965 912 were sold in the US in 66 (despite some like this car, being manufactured in '65). However the chassis number is confirmed by the official 'Porsche Club Europe Rules' as an original 6 digit 1965 Karmann bodywork car, and therefore also registered by the DVLA in the UK as a 1965 car (on a C-Registration).

2. The car was imported to the UK in Feb 2004, where it was driven before it underwent a £28,000 glass out body restoration by Tower Bridge Porsche in 2009, including new floor pans, inner and outer sills, suspension pan, before being sprayed in it's current Porsche Black (Schwarz 041). Along with the parts, the restoration in 2009 totalled over £35k

3. The car has been used by it's owners since, with various expenditure on it. The engine was replaced with a powerful period correct 912 block with Weber's and pulls and runs superb. The original block is supplied with the car should someone want to reinstate one day.

4. Having been subject to the British weather at points in the last 11 years, the original quarter panels required some work, so these have been beautifully leaded and the car has just received a full respray at the same time. The exterior looks incredible and there is no more rust to repair. The car has also just been serviced and pulls great.

SUMMARY

This car was recently bought in 2020 but due to needing to move before March 2021, now looking to sell. The car will come with it's matching number case should someone want to restore one day, but otherwise this car is to be enjoyed in all its beauty. An Excellent 1965 912 is Haggerty valued at £60k, so this is priced at £55k for a genuine sale. Car is located in Maidenhead and can be delivered.
