Today, only true enthusiasts of
Porsche will remember that the 911 had a
four-cylinder version in the first five years
of production, is the model presented here, the
Porsche 912 SWB (Short Wheel Base = version
short).
Introduced in 1965 as a replacement for "legend"
356, the new four-cylinder Porsche brought the
Timeless 911 design for the entire brand line
Germanic. A 912 is essentially a chassis of
911 with a four-cylinder block and there are those who
say it was an engine tuning variant
356SC. Apart from the mechanics, only the
denominations and accessories inside distinguished
the 912 of the 911, with the same base but a rim of
plastic on the steering wheel and an instrument panel of
three dials, as opposed to the five-dial unit
911 dials. As far as the case is concerned, it was
