Seller's comments about 1971' Porsche 914

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this remarkably original and unmolested 1974 Porsche 914 with complete ownership history and service records to new, confirming just 53,000 original miles. Originally sold at Irmer Porsche-Audi in Rochester, New York, it received Ziebart rustproofing upon delivery - and thanks to being garage kept and put away in the winter, it managed to escape the rust that usually eats up Upstate New Yorks autos. This 914 first moved to Atlanta in 1984 with its second owner, then to a third owner in Virginia in 1999, then back to Atlanta with its present (and fourth) owner in 2016. One repaint to a nice driver standard in the original shade of Saturn Yellow. Excellent and original floors, solid battery tray and hell hole, and among the crispest and cleanest original front and rear trunk areas weve ever seen on an un-restored 914. Interior is completely original aside from an updated stereo and newer mats sitting atop the original carpets. Original crack-free dash, original door cards and steering wheel, original seat upholstery (there are some tiny cracks in the corner of the drivers seat outer bolster where the back meets the bottom). Interior overall presents as you would expect for a garage-kept, 50,000-original-mile car. The driver seat belt starter interlock and the passenger seat occupancy sensor / buzzer still work (in nearly every 914 Ive seen, these functions are either broken or have been deliberately disabled). The 1.8 liter flat four is still running its factory Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection. It starts easily and runs very well, with excellent throttle response and smooth power delivery throughout the rev range. Type 901 dog-leg five speed works well with no crunchy synchros. This 914 has been well maintained by caring owners throughout its life and all service is up to date. It feels tight and put together just like a low-mileage car should. Included with the sale are the original sales invoice, owners books, tools, jack, spare and more than 40 years of service records.
